The Per Diem Oncology Nurse Navigator role is an onsite position at the Topsham clinic in Topsham, ME, paying $45–$55 per hour. The nurse works with physician-led teams at New England Cancer Specialists, whose mission is to improve life for people with cancer and blood disorders. The nurse navigator uses oncology clinical knowledge to guide patients, families, and caregivers through care, assess and triage needs, and coordinate follow-up. The role connects patients and referring providers with the clinical team and supports safe, effective treatment and continuity of care.

What you'll do

• Serve as a contact for referring physicians, patients, and caregivers to coordinate scheduling and care
• assist physicians and conduct patient assessments
• triage patient calls and alert physicians when intervention is needed
• follow up with patients regarding treatment guidelines and changing clinical situations
• draw blood from ports, central lines, and peripheral IV access
• coordinate follow-up appointments and tests
• document care and participate in interdisciplinary conferences and continuing education.
