Employment Advisor - Vocational Support

The Employment Advisor is an onsite, part-time role based in Saint Louis, MO, with pay of $20 per hour. The position is community-based and supports employed consumers through RISE Services Inc. Missouri’s vocational training, transition, or employment support services program. The role helps consumers learn and retain job skills and behaviors so they can integrate into and remain in employment. It provides workplace instruction and support, monitors progress, and helps mediate communication with employers and coworkers.

What you'll do

• Analyze workplace requirements and conditions to develop integration plans
• provide orientation and instruction at work sites
• help consumers learn and retain job skills and strategies
• train consumers in work behaviors and social skills
• develop and implement positive behavioral supports
• monitor progress for job retention
• mediate between consumers, employers, and coworkers
• complete required documentation.

Why this role

A high school diploma or GED is required. CPR and first aid certification will be provided upon hire along with required agency training. A reliable vehicle, valid auto insurance, and a Class E driver license within 90 days are required. Availability for days, evenings, nights, and weekends is required.
