The Assistant Pre-K Teacher position is onsite in Saint Louis, MO, with compensation of $31,500 per year. The assistant supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom where preschool-aged children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Daily care, engaging activities, and communication with families contribute to children’s learning and well-being.

What you'll do

• Support classroom routines including meals, toileting and diapering, rest time, transitions, and play
• assist with developmentally appropriate activities
• use the Conscious Discipline framework to respond to children’s needs
• encourage independence through guided self-help
• maintain a clean, safe, organized environment
• build supportive relationships with children and families, including through home visits
• communicate with families about routines and progress
• and follow licensing, health, and safety guidelines.
