The role exists to conduct research on long-life, high-density cathode materials for electrochemical energy storage systems. The appointee will contribute to the synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation of advanced layered oxide cathode materials to improve next-generation battery technologies.

What you'll do

  • Develop and synthesize layered oxide precursor materials using a CSTR
  • conduct physical, chemical, thermal, and electrochemical characterization
  • establish relationships between material properties and electrochemical performance
  • perform synchrotron-based X-ray characterization
  • analyze and interpret experimental data
  • communicate findings through manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
