The School Social Worker — High School Student Services role is onsite in Plymouth, MI, supporting students across two high schools on the same campus. Traveler pay is $1,000–$1,900 per week based on experience; local pay is not provided. The role supports approximately 30–40 students, including students with cognitive impairments, autism spectrum disorder, and special education needs. The social worker provides individualized and group support to address students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs. Through assessment, intervention, crisis support, and collaboration with school staff and families, the role contributes to student progress and a safe, inclusive school environment.

What you'll do

• Provide individual and group social work services
• assess social, emotional, behavioral, and environmental needs
• develop and implement individualized support plans
• assist with emotional regulation, social skills, conflict resolution, and behavioral concerns
• collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• participate in IEP meetings as appropriate
• provide crisis intervention
• connect students and families with school and community resources
• maintain confidential records
• monitor progress and adjust interventions.
