What you'll do

• Prepare patients for surgery and perform pre-operative assessments
• calculate anesthetic protocols under veterinarian supervision
• place and maintain IV catheters
• administer medications
• induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia
• perform intubation and extubation
• monitor ECG, capnography, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature, and anesthetic depth
• maintain anesthesia records
• assist with pain management and post-operative recovery
• prepare, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• maintain surgical packs.
