The Intern, RTL Power Macromodeling Engineer role is onsite in San Jose, CA. Compensation is $28–$68 per hour. Samsung Semiconductor’s Power & Thermal Lab develops and validates power models for AI memory components. The intern helps create and validate IP-level power macromodels and extract power features from RTL, SystemC, and C simulations. The work supports trace-driven power and thermal simulation, helping research and product teams assess power and thermal behavior in AI memory systems.

What you'll do

• Develop IP-level power macromodels for AI memory components
• extract activity-, value-, and state-dependent power features from RTL, SystemC, and C simulations
• support calibration using synthesis-assisted anchors, circuit references, and measured data
• validate models against RTL, gate-level power analysis, and silicon
• deliver validated models and regression checks into the trace-driven flow.
