Senior Roadway Engineer

The Senior Roadway Engineer role is onsite in Manassas, VA. Annual compensation is $120,000–$180,000. The position joins Rinker Design Associates’ growing Transportation team, delivering infrastructure projects throughout Virginia and beyond. The engineer leads roadway design and project delivery, coordinating with clients, project managers, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams. The role also supports project quality, schedules, budgets, proposals, and the development of junior engineers and designers.

What you'll do

• Lead roadway design plans
• prepare and review plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates
• coordinate with project managers, clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies
• ensure compliance with VDOT, AASHTO, MUTCD, and local standards
• use MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
• support schedules, budgets, and quality control
• collaborate with technical teams
• mentor junior staff
• assist with proposals.
