The Child Nutrition Specialist, Touchstone position is onsite in Bulverde, TX, with pay of $18 per hour. The role supports the Touchstone program and charter school under the direction of the Child Nutrition Manager. The specialist helps ensure menu compliance with USDA guidelines and develops and analyzes healthy menus that support nutrition and student acceptance. The role also prepares meals, maintains program records and supplies, and assists with youth supervision when needed, including in emergencies.

What you'll do

• Assist with budget management and food orders
• document USDA food program data
• ensure licensing and contract compliance
• prepare and serve daily meals
• assist with resident supervision in serving areas
• follow recipes and create menus
• maintain National School Lunch, Breakfast, and Afterschool records
• track food and supply inventory
• complete Federal School Lunch Program forms
• maintain a clean serving environment
• assist residential staff in emergencies as needed.

Why this role

Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.; requires a high school diploma or GED, six months in a child-care field, one year of school lunch or food-service experience, and one or more years of USDA or national program experience.
