Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with an annual base salary of $100,000–$140,000 plus company equity. K2 Space is developing and mass-producing high-power satellite platforms for commercial and U.S. government missions. The engineer develops manufacturing methods, tooling, and production flows for spacecraft electronics and integrated avionics. The role partners with design and manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability, build prototypes and flight hardware, and scale processes for higher-rate production.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with design engineers on PCBs, PCBAs, machined components, assemblies, flight hardware, and tooling
• develop manufacturing systems for spacecraft electronic assemblies, electromechanical subassemblies, and harnessing
• create custom tools and processes, including MES software
• demonstrate and improve manufacturing techniques on prototypes
• develop and refine subassembly build flows
• conduct R&D of manufacturing technologies for current and future spacecraft products.
