General Ledger Accountant

Job overview

The General Ledger Accountant role is onsite in Nashua, NH, with compensation of $80,000–$90,000 annually. Optiline Enterprises is a drywall and metal framing contractor building commercial and residential projects across several regions; the role reports to the Controller and joins a seven-person finance team. This hands-on accounting generalist supports reliable financial records as project and transaction volume grows. The role contributes across reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable, month-end close, ledger integrity, and documentation of scalable accounting procedures.

What you'll do

• Perform monthly bank and cash reconciliations and resolve variances
• apply customer payments and address unapplied cash and short pays
• enter and code vendor invoices and support payables
• prepare recurring and accrual journal entries
• reconcile balance sheet accounts and tie subledgers to the general ledger
• maintain the close checklist
• investigate unusual balances
• document procedures and support consistent accounting controls.
