Job overview

The Home Health Aide role is onsite in Clermont, FL, providing care in patients’ homes. Pay is $18 per hour. Visiting Nurse Services of Central Florida provides one-on-one home care guided by patient care plans. The aide supports patients with daily activities, personal care, household tasks, medication and immunization assistance, and exercises or other activities. The role also documents care and observations and reports patient progress or concerns to a supervisor.

What you'll do

• Assist patients with moving between beds, baths, wheelchairs, and automobiles
• change bed linens, do laundry, clean homes, and assist with personal care
• maintain records of care, condition, progress, and problems
• report observations to a supervisor
• converse with or read aloud to patients
• give medications and immunizations
• engage patients in exercises or other activities.

Why this role

Graduation from an accredited Home Health Aide program, high school diploma or GED, one year of prior professional experience, a driver’s license, and CPR certification are required. Prior home health or hospice experience is a plus.
