Pathology Assistant — Surgical Pathology

The Pathology Assistant — Surgical Pathology role is onsite in Grand Forks, ND, with 5×8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week. Compensation is not specified. Under a pathologist’s supervision, this assistant prepares and performs surgical specimen and frozen-section dissections, documents gross descriptions, and supports accurate, timely diagnostic results. The role also contributes to quality assurance, equipment upkeep, and department operations.

What you'll do

• Prepare and perform surgical specimen and frozen-section dissections
• dictate accurate gross descriptions
• maintain patient identification accuracy
• perform validated tests
• support quality control, preventive maintenance, equipment upkeep, and troubleshooting
• communicate with pathologists and providers
• maintain the gross bench procedure manual and CAP compliance.
