Personal Care Attendant

The Personal Care Attendant role is onsite in San Leandro, CA, with compensation not specified. The attendant supports participants’ daily living, safety, social, and recreational needs in the PACE center and occasionally at home. By assisting with personal care, meals, activities, and observation, the role contributes to participants’ comfort and experience in the program.

What you'll do

• Assist participants with personal hygiene and activities of daily living, including feeding and ambulation
• respond to requests or obtain assistance
• perform assigned non-sterile procedures
• prepare and plate meals according to dietary cards
• record care information in the EMR
• maintain clean and orderly surroundings
• occasionally provide homemaking services at home
• accompany participants to appointments
• observe changes in condition
• monitor wandering alerts
• support activities
• conduct daily safety checks.
