Job overview

The Life Skills Mentor, Apartment Program Support Assistant is an onsite, full-time role in Colorado Springs, CO, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay is $17 per hour. The role supports Goodwill of Colorado’s Community Integration Division and the Possibilities program. The position teaches daily living skills and supports participants in pursuing personal goals and greater independence. It also helps maintain a safe apartment environment, documents activities, and coordinates with the Possibilities team and participants’ families or Host Home Providers.

What you'll do

  • Create and teach daily living activities, including kitchen safety, cooking, sewing, and laundry
  • support participants in scheduled activities and personal goals
  • use assistive technology to support independent learning
  • maintain a safe and healthy apartment
  • coordinate community activities and volunteers
  • model work habits and self-help skills
  • assist with program transitions and, as needed, ancillary personal care
  • help complete assessments and individualized plans
  • document daily activities
  • communicate updates to staff and assigned family or Host Home Providers.
