Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Job overview

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician role is onsite in Huntsville, AL, serving a service area. Pay is $23–$55 per hour. Hobbs & Associates provides factory-authorized startup, warranty, and maintenance service for HVAC systems and other represented products. The technician supports customers by commissioning new equipment, diagnosing system issues, completing repairs, and maintaining equipment to factory specifications. The role also documents service and installation work and helps customers resolve complaints and improve system performance.

What you'll do

• Investigate customer complaints, conduct tests, and resolve problems
• establish service by studying system requirements, gathering components and parts, completing installations, and performing acceptance tests
• examine complaints, identify solutions, suggest improved methods and techniques, and recommend system improvements
• document service and installation actions in forms, reports, logs, and records
• maintain job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional publications.

Why this role

Requires 3–5 years of HVAC industry experience and EPA 608 certification. Trade school certificate or degree and experience with VRF, AAON, and Multi-Stack equipment are a plus, not required. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
