Activities Assistant

Job overview

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Woodbridge, VA, with a stated schedule of 9 a.m.–5 p.m., rotating weekends, and rotating Tuesday and Thursday evening shifts. Pay is $15–$22 per hour. The role supports residents at Belmont Bay Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a 120-bed subacute and long-term care facility. The role exists to create meaningful recreational, social, educational, and community-based experiences that support residents' social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being. The assistant helps plan and run programs, encourages participation based on residents' interests and abilities, documents engagement, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.

What you'll do

• Help plan, organize, and implement activities and events
• encourage resident participation
• document engagement
• observe and report changes in mood, behavior, interests, or participation
• assist with event setup and resident escorts
• and complete program records and administrative tasks.
