Chemical Dependency Professional / Therapist is an onsite, full-time position in Exeter, RI, scheduled 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with every other weekend. Compensation is not specified. The role provides behavioral health and substance-use treatment services at Zinnia Health. The therapist manages a client caseload and provides evidence-based, person-centered care to support recovery. The work includes assessment, treatment planning, counseling, documentation, coordination with clinical teams and community resources, and crisis intervention when authorized and necessary.

What you'll do

• Assess client strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences
• develop diagnostic impressions and treatment plans
• prepare biopsychosocial assessments and clinical documentation
• provide individual counseling and facilitate educational, counseling, and support groups
• coordinate services with clinical teams and community resources
• provide crisis intervention when authorized and necessary
• participate in emergency-services backup rotation.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related behavioral health field; an active listed state license; at least one year of clinical experience; and at least three years of lived experience with substance use and/or mental health disorders for self, family, or a loved one.
