What you'll do

• Review menus and prepare meals according to planned menus and therapeutic diets
• inspect special-diet trays
• follow portion-control procedures
• prepare bedtime snacks and substitute foods when needed
• ensure meal trays have appropriate equipment and utensils
• follow care-plan food information
• observe infection-control precautions
• assist with cleaning
• maintain safe equipment, supplies, and food-storage areas.
