Scientific Technical Writer

The Scientific Technical Writer role is onsite in Bethesda, MD; telework may be authorized with approval. The salary range is $120,000–$130,000 per year. The writer translates NLM leadership priorities and scientific and technical information into accurate, accessible communications for internal and external audiences. The role also supports literature synthesis, knowledge management, executive materials, and publication resources that improve consistency and quality across NLM.

What you'll do

• Research, write, and edit scientific and technical materials, reports, policy papers, and research summaries
• review scientific literature and synthesize findings
• maintain NLM communications resources, templates, and wiki content
• draft executive communications, presentations, briefings, and correspondence
• proofread and verify accuracy, citations, and accessibility
• coordinate reviews and support training materials for writers and staff.
