What you'll do

• Assess, plan, document, and evaluate care for patients undergoing cardiac surgery
• assist with positioning and patient comfort and safety
• handle specimens
• maintain asepsis
• monitor surgical equipment
• complete electronic medical records and pre- and post-surgery counts
• when functioning as a scrub nurse, maintain the sterile field and pass instruments
• float to non-cardiac specialties when not assigned to cardiac cases.
