CNC Standard Operator

Job overview

The CNC Standard Operator role is onsite in Grandview, MO. Pay is $20.80–$25.89 per hour. The operator reports to the Machining Supervisor and supports production by preparing and operating CNC and conventional machine tools. The role sets up tooling, runs machines, and checks finished pieces against dimensions and quality standards. Careful adjustments, production records, and adherence to shop safety procedures help meet order requirements and maintain manufacturing quality.

What you'll do

• Prepare and install tooling for standard-parts production
• operate assigned machine tools and inspect first pieces using precision instruments, preset gauges, and engineering blueprints
• instruct another operator in machine operation or setup when needed
• replace indexable inserts and sharpen cutting tools
• make minor CNC geometry and tooling-offset adjustments
• change cutting oils and clean and lubricate machinery
• maintain tools and tooling
• record production information
• follow safety procedures and keep work areas organized.
