Sushi Chef

The Sushi Chef role is onsite in Herriman, UT. Compensation is $18 per hour, hourly and tipped. Benihana is part of The ONE Group and serves sushi, sashimi, and maki in a restaurant setting. The chef prepares sushi to restaurant standards, maintains product quality and food safety, and keeps the station ready for high-volume service. Coordination with kitchen and front-of-house teams helps keep food, timing, and guest experience aligned.

What you'll do

• Prepare sushi, sashimi, and maki to standards for cuts, portions, and plating
• assess fish quality and handle sushi-grade seafood safely
• prepare rice, sauces, garnishes, and station setup
• keep the sushi bar clean and organized
• track seafood and produce
• coordinate with back- and front-of-house teams
• answer guest questions and recommend items when appropriate
• and follow direction from chefs and kitchen leadership.
