Street Outreach Specialist

The Street Outreach Specialist role is onsite in Spokane, WA, with pay of $21.82–$22.37 per hour. Catholic Charities Eastern Washington's mission is to feed the hungry, heal the hurting, and welcome the stranger. The specialist provides trauma-informed outreach to people experiencing homelessness and helps connect individuals with housing, treatment, and other stabilization resources. The role coordinates with city agencies and community partners, responds to outreach requests, and documents services and grant-related activity.

What you'll do

• Provide street outreach to individuals in unsheltered situations and encampments
• connect clients with housing, treatment, and individualized stabilization resources
• coordinate referrals through HMIS and community housing systems
• coordinate with the Spokane Police Department and Code Enforcement on encampment abatement
• respond to 311 and officer-initiated outreach requests
• provide supportive advocacy and resource triage through a trauma-informed lens
• maintain community partnerships
• assist clients with goals and action plans
• enter HMIS data and prepare monthly and quarterly reports
• safeguard confidential client information.
