The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Lowell, MA. Compensation is $25–$31 per hour, negotiable based on skills and experience. The Vascular Care Group is an outpatient practice providing care for vascular patients. The assistant provides clinical and operational support so providers can deliver patient care and keep the clinic and office-based lab functioning. Duties include preparing rooms, assisting during visits and procedures, maintaining records and supplies, and supporting appointment communication and compliance.

What you'll do

• Support patient care during office visits
• prepare procedure rooms and maintain a sterile environment
• follow accreditation guidelines and document as needed
• record vital signs and maintain provider notes and complete medical records
• assist providers during visits and procedures
• support appointment scheduling and confirmations
• maintain patient medical information, including history and insurance
• maintain orders and stock supplies
• answer office calls and provide patient callbacks within 24 hours as needed
• clean and sterilize equipment
• dispose of medical waste according to facility guidelines
• maintain HIPAA compliance and compliance databases
• complete ad hoc projects
• provide coverage until the practice closes or the last patient leaves.

Why this role

Requires completion of a Medical Assistant program and Medical Assistant certification, BLS certification, and 1+ year of medical-setting experience, ideally surgical. Local and/or regional assignments may be needed.
