Heavy Equipment Operator

Job overview

The Heavy Equipment Operator role is onsite in Des Moines, IA, with compensation of $28–$35 per hour. ForceSource is hiring for work with a construction team on construction projects. The operator uses construction machinery and trucks to perform excavation, material handling, grading, lifting, and site preparation safely and efficiently. Equipment inspections, maintenance records, and coordination with project managers and teammates help maintain safe operations and project schedules.

What you'll do

• Operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, cranes, backhoes, dozers, water trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, tankers, and farm machinery
• perform excavation, material handling, grading, lifting, and site preparation
• inspect and maintain equipment
• follow equipment safety procedures and occupational safety regulations
• assist with site setup and cleanup using hand tools and small equipment
• coordinate work with project managers and team members
• maintain equipment usage, maintenance, and safety-check records.

Why this role
