Job overview

The Safe Alliance STRC & SRC Advocate role is onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina; pay is $38,000–$40,000 per year. The position supports Ascend Nonprofit Solutions’ Sexual Trauma Resource Center and Survivor Resource Center, advancing the agency’s work to provide hope and healing to people affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child maltreatment. The Advocate provides trauma-informed, client-centered services and coordinates support with community partners. The role also maintains client records, supports volunteers and interns as assigned, and contributes to outreach and program administration.

What you'll do

• Provide intake, assessment, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, court education, information, and referrals as applicable
• provide long-term advocacy where possible
• provide hospital response as needed
• coordinate care with community partners
• accompany clients to hospitals, police departments, or court during regular work hours and on-call as needed
• facilitate support groups
• maintain a client caseload
• supervise volunteers and interns as assigned
• maintain confidential records
• support grant reporting, quality assurance, outreach, and community engagement.
