Pharmacy Purchasing Coordinator

The Pharmacy Purchasing Coordinator role is onsite in Greensburg, PA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM and rotating weekends. The stated pay is $20–$22 per hour. The role supports PharMerica’s closed-door pharmacy team serving long-term care and senior living clients. The coordinator maintains medication inventory and addresses supply issues so pharmacy operations can meet client needs. The role supports purchasing efficiency, cost control, and communication about shortages that may affect patient therapy.

What you'll do

• Manage inventory minimum and maximum levels, forecast needs, and purchase from wholesalers and internal warehouses
• resolve drug backorders and purchasing issues
• report temporary product outages to wholesalers
• alert pharmacy management to critical shortages
• adjust inventory thresholds
• support new contracts and programs
• monitor strategic purchasing and cost-saving initiatives
• and ensure new drug products are acquired and entered into the system.
