Civil Engineering Intern

Job overview

The Civil Engineering Intern role is onsite in Spokane, WA. Compensation is $23–$25 per hour. AHBL is a multidisciplinary engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and land surveying firm serving public- and private-sector clients. Working alongside experienced engineers, the intern applies classroom skills to real-world projects and supports project development from concept toward construction. Potential work includes calculations, estimates, reports, design tools, and research to help project teams evaluate and advance civil engineering work.

What you'll do

• Work alongside experienced engineers on project tasks that may include hydraulic and hydrology calculations, quantity take-offs and cost estimates, drainage reports and calculations, AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and project research and feasibility studies.

Why this role

Internships begin in May or June, run approximately 12–14 weeks, and are about 40 hours per week. Applicants must be enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree program and have completed junior-level coursework. AutoCAD experience is desired.
