The Lifeguard role is onsite in Butler, PA; pay is $12.50 per hour. The position supports the YMCA’s work to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The lifeguard maintains safe swimming conditions, monitors pool areas, applies safety procedures, and responds to emergencies to protect members and participants.

What you'll do

• Maintain constant surveillance of pool areas
• know and follow emergency procedures
• apply pool and aquatic-area safety rules
• maintain required records
• check equipment and pool conditions
• conduct chemical testing and take appropriate action
• complete incident reports
• maintain pool-area equipment, safety, inventory, and cleanliness
• follow YMCA policies and procedures.
