The Head Start Teacher role is onsite in Morristown, TN, with compensation of $17.86–$22.64 per hour. Douglas-Cherokee Economic Authority’s Head Start/Early Head Start program serves children ages 0–5 across eight East Tennessee counties.

What you'll do

• Create a safe, organized classroom
• plan developmentally appropriate activities
• observe and document children’s progress
• use positive guidance
• supervise and interact with children
• build family relationships through visits, conferences, and communication
• maintain program records
• participate in training
• support classroom staff
• and encourage family and community involvement. A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and at least one year teaching preschool children are required
• First Aid and CPR must be obtained and kept current.
