The Substance Abuse Counselor is an onsite role in Xenia, OH; DeCoach Recovery Centre provides evidence-based addiction treatment and therapies focused on long-term recovery and wellness. The counselor assesses clients, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides individual and group counseling using evidence-based, strengths-based, and person-centered approaches. The role contributes to comprehensive care through multidisciplinary collaboration, crisis support, accurate documentation, and advocacy for accessible, inclusive services.

What you'll do

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• provide individual and group counseling
• collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers
• participate in team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision
• maintain clinical documentation
• provide crisis intervention and coordinate appropriate resources
• provide culturally competent and inclusive care.
