Director of Environmental Health – HELP Program

What you'll do

• Plan, develop, direct, and administer environmental health programs
• supervise subordinate staff
• prepare and evaluate program budgets
• direct compliance with public health laws, sanitary codes, and related regulations
• analyze scientific and regulatory information
• communicate environmental health issues to the public and officials
• investigate environmental problems and emergencies
• interpret laboratory results
• direct Board of Health hearings
• review engineering plans and reports
• prepare technical reports and assessments
• represent the Health Department and coordinate with other agencies
• formulate environmental health policies
• assist with grant applications
• participate in public health preparedness activities as trained and assigned.

Why this role
