The Head Start Substitute role is onsite in Doniphan, MO, with workstations that may include a classroom, bus, or kitchen. Pay is $14.55 per hour. SCMCAA’s Head Start program supports children through classroom activities, nutrition services, and transportation. The substitute fills assigned support duties across the program’s component areas. Depending on assignment, the role assists teaching staff with developmentally appropriate activities, supports meal preparation and center cleanliness, or helps provide safe and punctual transportation while monitoring children.

What you'll do

• As assigned, support teachers with developmentally appropriate classroom activities, meal preparation and cleanup, playground monitoring, and field trips
• prepare or assist with breakfast, lunch, and snacks and maintain food preparation areas and center cleanliness
• support bus drivers with safe and punctual transportation, monitor children, and interact with parents and staff
• follow child abuse and neglect reporting requirements and program policies.
