Manager, Data Governance

Job overview

The Manager, Data Governance role is onsite in Waller, TX; compensation is not specified. The role reports to the VP of Data Management & Strategy and partners across data, business, compliance, security, and analytics functions. The manager establishes and matures governance practices so enterprise data is trusted, consistent, responsibly managed, and fit for business use. The role leads a team and develops policies, quality frameworks, stewardship, metadata practices, and cross-functional decision processes that support scalable data use.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop the data governance team
• operationalize governance policies, standards, procedures, and decision rights
• establish data quality rules, monitoring, issue management, and remediation
• define ownership and stewardship models
• lead catalog, glossary, metadata, master data, lineage, and authoritative-source practices
• align privacy, retention, classification, and compliance standards with partner teams
• facilitate governance forums
• develop training, adoption plans, roadmaps, KPIs, and executive updates
• embed governance requirements with Data Products and Data Platform.
