The Dental Assistant role is onsite in Pompano Beach, FL, with a Monday–Friday schedule. Pay is $16–$23 per hour based on experience, plus bonus pay. The assistant supports South Florida Smile Spa’s patient care, helping patients feel calm and cared for during dental visits. The role helps the dentist deliver care by preparing operatories, assisting chairside, taking radiographs, and maintaining sterilization and infection-control practices. It also supports patient understanding through post-operative and home-care instructions and helps keep charts, supplies, and checkout processes organized.

What you'll do

• Greet patients and help them feel comfortable
• set up operatories with instruments, materials, and equipment
• assist chairside with four-handed dentistry
• take radiographs
• sterilize instruments and maintain infection control
• pour models and fabricate whitening trays
• explain post-operative and home-care instructions
• keep operatories clean, organized, and stocked
• update patient charts and assist with checkout and payments as needed
• maintain equipment and help order supplies.

Why this role

Requires 2+ years of chairside dental assisting experience, Florida dental radiography certification, current BLS/CPR certification, and knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, OSHA, and HIPAA. EFDA certification, temporary crown and bridge experience, English-Spanish bilingual ability, and listed dental software experience are preferred or additional advantages.
