This role supports the facility’s Activities Director and resident activity program. The assistant helps plan and deliver activities that address residents’ social, emotional, physical, therapeutic, and other needs. By adapting activities for residents with differing abilities and documenting participation and progress, the role contributes to resident engagement and care planning.

What you'll do

• Assist with developing, organizing, and implementing activities based on residents’ care plans
• promote activities inside and outside the facility while ensuring resident safety
• provide in-room activities for residents unable to attend events
• maintain activity calendars, schedules, and records
• involve and train volunteers
• participate in resident care planning and prepare progress notes.
