The Senior Cook role is onsite in La Junta, CO, with compensation of $15.16–$16.00 per hour. The position supports food service at East Otero School District. Chartwells K12 aims to serve food students enjoy and create custom dining programs. The cook prepares nutritious, properly flavored menu items in line with recipes and applicable standards, while supporting food safety, sanitation, production records, and the training of food service employees.

What you'll do

• Prepare entrees and menu items using established recipes
• operate and clean equipment
• store, label, and date food
• maintain organized dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage
• follow HACCP guidelines and health and sanitation regulations
• assist the Food Service Director with production records and required documentation
• assist with cross-training employees
• may oversee food service associates’ cooking activities when assigned by the Food Service Director.
