The Software Engineer — Prediction Markets Platform role is hybrid in San Francisco, CA, with compensation of $170,000–$190,000 per year. The team builds a CFTC-regulated exchange platform that lists and settles event contracts, including sports, crypto, and other real-world events. The engineer builds and operates backend services and data integrations that turn event information into tradeable contracts and settle them accurately. The role helps migrate workflows from Python and Airflow to Go services, with emphasis on correctness, auditability, and reliable production operations; it includes on-call participation.

What you'll do

• Build and run Go backend services for listing and settling event contracts
• migrate Python and Airflow workflows to Go services and durable job processing
• integrate sports and market-provider data while handling retries, duplicates, and late data
• implement settlement rules and edge cases with thorough tests
• contribute to design documents and code reviews
• own features from design through production
• build React/TypeScript operator tools
• participate in on-call and debug production issues end to end.
