Compensation is $78,004–$85,000 per year. Boston Managed IT provides managed IT and security services to small and mid-sized businesses throughout Greater Boston. The engineer resolves advanced technical issues and manages client infrastructure while gradually taking on service-delivery and operational leadership. Through a planned transition, the role builds client relationships, mentors engineers, coordinates projects and escalations, and helps shape Boston operations while remaining hands-on technically.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot advanced issues involving Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Windows, macOS, networking, and security
• serve as an escalation resource
• administer Microsoft 365 environments
• identify recurring issues and security risks
• plan and execute client onboarding, relocation, migration, hardware refresh, and infrastructure projects
• configure and troubleshoot network and endpoint systems
• provide onsite client support
• maintain documentation
• mentor engineers
• coordinate schedules, escalations, and priorities
• monitor service quality
• gradually assume responsibility for Boston service delivery.
