The Hospital Housekeeper – General Housekeeping or Discharges role is onsite in New Lenox, IL. Pay is $18 per hour. The general housekeeping shift is 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, with rotating weekends required; the discharge shift is 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m., Monday–Friday. The housekeeper cleans and sanitizes patient rooms and shared hospital spaces, follows infection-control procedures, and handles waste and supplies according to facility guidelines. Discharge-focused work prepares patient rooms for the next patient, helping maintain readiness and cleanliness across the facility.

What you'll do

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, hallways, common areas, and other hospital spaces
• follow hospital cleaning and sanitation procedures
• disinfect high-touch surfaces
• handle and dispose of waste according to facility guidelines
• restock cleaning and sanitation supplies
• for the discharge position, thoroughly clean and prepare patient rooms for the next patient
• follow safety and infection-control procedures.
