Tool Design Engineer

It prepares estimates and quotes, evaluates manufacturability, designs processes using CAD, coordinates tooling, troubleshoots production issues, and supports continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Create cost estimates and quotes for new or revised products
• determine process methods, equipment, and production rates
• support Sales with manufacturing feasibility and cost reduction
• review customer part designs and provide manufacturability feedback
• specify and follow up on tooling and support equipment
• maintain tooling cost and timing records
• develop product and process designs using CAD
• maintain supporting documentation
• troubleshoot existing processes
• recommend, implement, and document quality and output improvements
• develop or redesign facility layouts.
