The K–8 Art Teacher position is onsite at Concord Academy of Petoskey in Petoskey, MI. Compensation is an hourly rate to be determined based on qualifications and experience. The teacher supports an educational program integrating fine arts, STEM, and project-based learning. The teacher plans and delivers art instruction that develops students’ creativity, artistic skills, and critical thinking. Differentiated, hands-on lessons and collaboration with colleagues support the school’s student-centered learning approach.

What you'll do

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned art instruction for grades K–8
• develop age-appropriate lessons using varied techniques, materials, media, and styles
• encourage creativity and artistic problem-solving
• differentiate instruction
• integrate art with academic subjects, STEAM, and project-based learning
• introduce art history and diverse artists and cultures
• assess progress and provide feedback
• maintain supplies and a safe classroom
• collaborate with colleagues and communicate with families.
