What you'll do

• Conduct standardized tests on asphalt and aggregate samples, including specific gravity, air voids, and gradation
• operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory testing equipment
• prepare and submit test reports, often using Microsoft Excel
• check materials against ODOT and project quality standards
• follow health, safety, and environmental protocols and use PPE
• collect, prepare, and organize samples
• perform some field testing such as density checks and assist engineers as needed.
