The Behavioral Intervention Specialist, Bryant Elementary role is onsite in Helena, MT, with starting pay of $19.04 per hour. Shodair Children's Hospital's Comprehensive School and Community Treatment team supports students with serious emotional disabilities in school and community settings. The specialist provides individualized support and direct care, helps students build coping and social-emotional skills, and coordinates with therapists, educators, school staff, and families to support student progress and safety.

What you'll do

  • Provide support and supervision based on treatment and behavior plans
  • help students practice social skills, emotional regulation, coping strategies, and positive behaviors
  • support therapeutic classroom activities
  • collaborate with therapists, educators, and families
  • use trauma-informed de-escalation techniques when needed
  • document behaviors, interventions, and progress
  • participate in structured summer and holiday programming
  • administer school-time medications during non-traditional programming.
