What you'll do

• Work with insurers, providers, and patients on claims
• submit or assist with clean claim submission
• verify contractual payments and investigate discrepancies
• correct and appeal unpaid or denied claims
• run and analyze accounts receivable reports
• work unpostables, denials, and claim worklists in Athenahealth
• respond to patient billing calls
• resolve outstanding balances
• follow billing compliance, privacy, confidentiality, safety, HIPAA, OSHA, and PCI DSS requirements.
