What you'll do

• Visit hospice patients with a certified therapy animal to provide emotional comfort and companionship
• coordinate scheduled visits with the hospice care team and families
• maintain a calm, empathetic presence
• ensure the animal is well-behaved, clean, and current on health and vaccination requirements
• report visit observations as needed
• participate in orientation, training, and ongoing education
• protect patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
