Job overview

The Curriculum and Staff Support Coordinator role is onsite in Lawrence, MA, supporting programs at the YWCA’s Lawrence and Haverhill sites. Pay is $24–$27 per hour. The role supports infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age classrooms and advances the YWCA mission, including economic empowerment and racial justice. The coordinator strengthens classroom learning by planning and assessing curriculum, coaching and mentoring teaching staff, and stepping into classrooms when needed. The role also supports quality, licensing compliance, and children’s developmental progress.

What you'll do

  • Support weekly and monthly curriculum planning for infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age programs
  • align curriculum with developmental standards and center philosophy
  • provide materials, ideas, and coaching
  • observe classrooms and provide feedback
  • mentor teaching staff and assist with onboarding and training
  • help adapt lesson plans
  • support classroom schedules and transitions
  • assist in classrooms during absences and lunch breaks
  • implement and assess curriculum and document children’s progress
  • complete required health and safety checks and follow licensing and accreditation standards.

Why this role

Requires at least an associate degree in early childhood education or a related listed degree, plus current EEC Lead Teacher licensure in infant/toddler and/or preschool; both certifications are preferred. First Aid/CPR certification is required or must be obtained within three months.
