Shift Manager

The Shift Manager role is onsite in Hayward, CA. Pay is $21–$23.10 per hour. The position works under the Restaurant Manager and supports restaurant shift operations and team members. The role exists to keep shifts running smoothly while meeting standards for food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, customer service, safety, and security. Depending on level, responsibilities include independently running shifts, managing labor and inventory, placing food orders, and supporting team development.

What you'll do

• Maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow company procedures
• uphold food quality, sanitation, and customer-service standards
• manage costs within budget
• set up cash registers and support smooth shift transitions
• supervise and direct team members
• train team members when requested
• complete shift reports and documentation
• conduct operational walk-throughs
• enforce safety and security procedures. Higher-level responsibilities may include inventory processes, food orders, labor and food cost management, and mentoring junior Shift Managers.
