The CNA will assist residents with basic health care needs and daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
What you'll do
- Serve as caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care.
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Deliver age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs.
- Follow infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use.
- Assist with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking.
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises.
- Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks.
- Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes.
- Communicate resident's changing condition to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services.
- Assist with and document wellness and recreational programs.
What we're looking for
- Education
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Experience
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
